Happened upon these stools today. I like the stools, but more than that, I like the fact that the designer (Florian Schmid) took an everyday material, and not an attractive material, btw, and turned into something very interesting. Now if I could just get my hands on some Concrete Cloth (made by Concrete Canvas)

I just ran across this little dish on someone else's blog (it's by Handgrown Pottery) and while I hate copying ideas, I'm having quite a hard time coming up with things to make in pottery, so I think these little dishes will make good Christmas presents. Hopefully I will end up with something post worthy before the end of the month.

Somehow I missed this, but it looks like Zaha is designing footwear...this snazzy pair was done for Lacoste back in 2009.

This past weekend, 08.14.10, I talked Jesse into taking me to the Tomato Art Festival in East Nashville. He purchased this really cool necklace by Tracey Ford for me. She has some great stuff, definitely worth checking out.

Love these chairs by Starck Design. It's the incorporation of the overall shape of 3 famous chairs by other architects and furniture designers.
